Me 2, the thumbnail remind me of Saber.

I love this pic! If someone don't know Jeanne d'arc lead the French army against Brittain in the one hundred years war and she gave a new king to her country. In the end she was caught by English soldiers and sentenced to death (burned) because they thought she was a witch, whats more the French did nothing about it because she became a nuisance for them too (look up wiki if you want accurate info, I can't remember too well). I don't like the idea of comparing her to Fate, on the contrary we should compare Fate to Her. Jeanne d'arc is also a saint that's why she has a halo around her head.

for a normal battle, the shield is there to protect from arrows

Quite right, but would it not be better to maintain mobility (a shield and light armor) rather than be bogged down with heavy armor and being pelted with arrows? I would like to think that the faster you get to the archers the better.

yeah that's some sort of Amor Piercing bow, 20MM degree,,
