Without spoiling it, is this series worth watching?

If you like giant robots, then you'll probably like this series. It's not the best every, but it's got a lot of fun stuff in it and it's one of the few series I've seen where CG robots actually look good without clashing without the 2D artwork.

Now, if you _don't_ like giant robot series, then it probably isn't going to be something you like.

It's pretty good yeah, enjoyable to watch certainly. And the GATTAI sequences are lol Go watch it to see why ;)

So, that means the music is 90% covers and remade stuff? :V

Never got why everyone praises Yoko Kanno that much. Not a bad composer but, most of the times, the stuff he/she does feels recycled.

Nah, as mentioned the CG does work in this case. I like CG when done right, otherwise god no, gimme cels.

edit: for once I'm in agreement with kyoushiro, I've never been hugely fond of Kanno's work. The only really awesome soundtrack she's done imo is Earth Girl Arjuna, which rocked.
