Well, votes are generally indicative of popularity and that's about all. It could be the best image ever in terms of quality, but if not enough people see it or find it to their taste, it'll never get many votes. On the other hand, you could have an image that's not all that great quality but shows nudity in a way that a lot of people really like and it gets voted up a lot.

I wouldn't say that votes mean nothing, but at best they indicate a certain level of popularity, not quality.

I vote on pretty much every image I download, so ya, I vote a lot. I've also found that a particular vote depends a lot on my mood. Some types of images are guaranteed to be 3s pretty much no matter my mood, but for others I might not like it all that much the first time I see it (and thus give it a 1) but end up loving it the next time I see it (and upgrade it to 3). And, of course, sometimes I end up down-voting images on a second look. So, there's some consistency in my voting, but not entirely.

In any case. Ya I vote a lot, and it's basically because I vote on everything a download, and I download a lot. If nothing else, what I've voted on serves as a sort of record for me so that I know what I've downloaded.
