I'm seeing too many shoddy 'fixes' being posted. I'm only going to bother viewing the artists original scans.

Yes.

Lua: Usually detexted versions should be childs, but sometimes, the detexted versions is much better than original ones, maybe fix some faults like crease, gap, screening, etc.; and on the other hand, some non-texted versions is actually from other (better) source. In these cases, they deserve the position of parents.

Personally, even if the situations mentioned above is excluded, I still think a decent detexted image deserves parent.

Even if it is a really good detext, it's not the original image the artist created. Images with "scanning" fixes (such as creases), are a different matter however.

Text on images is typically ads, not stuff put there by the artist. I parent those as long as the quality is good enough.
