i like Hayate too... the only relatable (sane?) main girl in the series. No, making friends by blasting them with thermonuclear-equivalent WMDs is not right >.<

I believe a lot of Nanoha-series-potential were wasted in here: It seems the timeline only goes forward (StrikerS --> now force) and I'm not the MILF-type, so it's hard to maintain my entusiasm to characters which are sooner or later that old, they could become my mothers. -.-;

Well, while I don't care for the adult versions of the characters (I prefer lolis Ｏ(≧∇≦)Ｏ), I think the bigger problem is they kinda went insane in StrikerS from a power standpoint. It's not like Nanoha in particular wasn't overpowered to start with (and got more powerful from the first series to A's), but they really upped the ante majorly in StrikerS. So where do you go from there? From what I've seen of Magical Record Lyrical Nanoha Force, the way they're going to create new enemies that are an actual danger/challenge to Nanoha and company has wandered off into silly-ville. It's just not even remotely believable now, I keep finding myself thinking "they're trying too damn hard, this doesn't seem scary/dangerous, it just seems stupid". I figure if they do another sequel to Force they'll just have the characters playing billiards with planets, that'd be about as realistic and reasonable as Force seems to be heading. (I pretty much stopped reading it it's so silly.) ―(T_T)→

The franchise is in serious need of a reboot, maybe going back and doing a more direct sequel to A's would help, although the girls were kinda overpowered already then, so maybe not. Perhaps building off the movie would work better. But it's going to be a delicate balance, part of the appeal of Nanoha was that she wasn't some wimpy magical girl who struggles to learn her powers. She finds out she's a magical girl and starts kicking ass almost immediately, which was a blast. But you just can't keep making a character more powerful when they're already insanely powerful. ☆⌒(＞。≪)

But there were other problems with StrikerS anyway, such as so many damn enemies introduced in such short order it was hard to keep track of who anyone was at points. ＼（－－）／

They could always go Dragon Ball route.. Blow the damn planet in 1 attack (+2 weeks worth of dialogues in between the episodes.. while charging their attack)

Yeah, well, I read the Dragon Ball manga (actually, the DBZ half, haven't read the first part) and once of that was enough to last me forever. It was silly and stupid, but a entertaining and fun once. Again would just be "oh god, not again".

I just watched the Nanoha movie today finally, and they could reboot from it pretty well if they wanted. Nanoha came across as slightly less powerful in the movie version than the TV series. Why?Because they explained Starlight Breaker as being an attack that gathered up all the magic expended by both her and Fate during the battle, instead of some insanely powerful attack Nanoha came up with and powered on her own. Nanoha also did a lot more training in the movie vs. the TV series. So there's plenty of room to go from there without getting too silly. ヾ(´･ω･｀)

I like that they brought in the linker core explanation from A's, and it's neat we have an official explanation of what animal Linith's based off of too. （*´▽`*)
