hum, that reminds me of danbooru, where they literally have tags for everything, including tsundere. but for danbooru, tsundere tag is much applied to facial expressions of particular images rather than generally the characters. and there are only 200+ ones(out of 691k) tagged with tsundere.

so if implemented, i guess there should be tags for all other expressions, emotions etc. there simply would be so many of them!LoL

Tag subscription doesn't work for me.
Although the General tag sub:sakurapremier:General works well, other subscriptions I created, like sub:sakurapremier:test which includes only Card_Captor_Sakura, lists all the irrelevant posts.

And on my User Profile page, Tag Subscriptions column overlaps the other column on the right.

One thing I want to say is I can not see pics in some particular tags, i.e. tentacles

Sometimes tentacles are tagged along with extreme_content which is a blacklist tag.

How about favorited posts not being deleted and replaced by a different posts. Also have folders to organize my favorites.

Has anyone suggested the ability for one (mostly the uploader) to disable comments on a picture? Mostly for x-years old images to prevent necro-bumping them, though it could have some use for newer images that one think don't need any comments on.

There's nothing wrong with commenting on older posts, and posters shouldn't be able to decide for themselves what "needs" comments and what doesn't.

Depends on what they're saying. You know a "post without bumping" and/or "hide comment" feature would work for those situations.

Need wasn't the right word to use I admit. Certain post could do better without any comments attached to them. I was going to suggest the feature be given to Mod/Admin, but felt it might work better with the uploader.

I find people commenting on older images useful. I can't tell you how many images I've discovered that way that I liked, that I had missed for whatever reason in the past. I've discovered new artists that way as well, so it's quite a useful feature. Not to mention, why comment at all if you don't want to bump the image? （￣～￣;） I really can't fathom a reason to say something you'd want buried and never seen. Images aren't like discussion threads, an image can be years old and still relevant to the viewer. (Actually, centuries old even, check out museums.) ヾ(´･ω･｀) The only real issue with necroing is someone replying to a question that's years old, but that doesn't cause major problems.

The site used to have a 'post without bumping' button but it was decided to remove it since as Manabi said, "why comment at all if you don't want to bump the image?" not to mention it makes moderating comments difficult.

Donations are currently covering server costs, we also have more than enough bandwidth now due an anonymous donation of a high bandwidth server (yuinyan) to handle all image requests. Main server only handles thumbnails now.

A few days ago a friend of mine who has recently made an account, asked me if there was a tag meaning the pictures of doujinshi pages or something like this. He told me he didn't want to see that specific group of images and I said there wasn't a tag for that, just the monochrome that it's a bit ambiguous just working for doujinshi pages.

I was thinking about it and as long as there's a disc_cover or sketch tag, why don't we have one for doujinshi?

It's just my proposal and in my opinion it would be useful :3

Since we don't host too many doujinshis (esp. the monochrome ones), I don't think is so meaningful..

On the other hand, most of our scans are colorful doujinshis, I don't know why he wants to avoid them ;_;

My only request would be a way that i could download every single available photo on this website. I would totally have enough space the problem is a way to availably download all photos without visiting all 8008 pages of photos.... just sayin

Some people in Shanghai expressed concern that multilingual interface would make it a bigger candidate for the site getting blocked.

edit: or put in a qq channel for support for such things, although I wont really be able to participate in it (I refuse to install a chat program that scans your disk on load)

Deletion appeal and signatures. I had a number of images that I felt were good enough to be on this site, and every one of them got shot down for some dubious reason. They are posted on other sites like MiniTokyo and danbooru yet don't make the cut here. Head-scratching. And yes, having signatures below the posts or the avatar will be most welcome.

You can always appeal a deletion, IMO signatures do not enhance the disenvolvement of a site.

This site is intended only for high-res/high-quality images. Anything else uploaded may be deleted on objective grounds.

No guarantees of a response from aoie emesai though...
